Description
We start by making the cheese. We stir the milk until it forms a mass of cheese, and then we place it in molds to take shape.
Next, guests taste our cheeses and fruits with vegetables from our garden.
As a side dishe we offer them wine and raki, as well as juice for the little ones. We then bring out the mizithra (fresh whey cheese), which they also get to taste.
After finishing the cheesemaking, we move on to milking, where we bring sheep and goats into the milking parlor and milk them by hand. The guests also get to see the modern milking machine and how it works.
Then comes the cooking of local and traditional dishes by baking them in the wood-fired oven. The whole group participates, following the recipe and preparing the food from start to finish — the very meal we will all eat together. We provide everything needed for the food straight from our garden.
Once we finish the cooking process, we take a walk around the farm where guests get to see the animals and feed them.
Then we stroll through our orchard and gardens, picking fruits and vegetables.
When the walk is over, we all sit down together at the table and enjoy the food we cooked, along-side with various mezedes (small dishes/appetizers), accompanied by wine and raki.
We always finish with a little something sweet.
